Anybody know what the square brackets along the ground track (on the map on nasa tv) mean? I noticed them the other day, and forgot to ask

Or rather than fired, from what I heard the propellant ( ) is dumped.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. If you are refering to what I think you are, the brackets indicate when the shuttle (or station) is in night.

Vote Libertarian

Not sure what square bracket you are referring to.

You mean on the NASA TV boadcast, not the landing ground track paths on the shuttle page?

But the Krell forgot one thing John. "Not sure what square bracket you are referring to.

You mean on the NASA TV boadcast, not the landing ground track paths on the shuttle page?"

sorry for the low quality. There is one over the middle east, and one under the orbiter. The nighttime explanation seems to make sense:
http://merrilldigital.com/imagesUploadedK/20070622-152632.png
