TEST REPORT

Test article: Beer

TEST CONDUCTORS: Shuttle_Guy, Shuttle_Guy GF, Testing

TEST PLAN: Consume sufficient samples of test article to confirm said samples are qualified for the intended mission.

TEST ANOMALY #1: Chosen supplier unable to accomodate the chosen test timeframe. While supplier was willing and able to supply accomodations on a 24 hour basis, supplier indicated a 2 hour delay in delivery of requested test article. The test being on a tight schedule, required imediate action.

DISPOSITION: Choose another supplier with a more flexible delivery schedule.

CORRECTIVE ACTION: Better test planning.

TEST ANOMOLY #2: Alternate supplier unable to supply specific test article (per S_G requisition, Fosters Lager).
S_G GF was able to procure a suitable test article from this supplier at first request.

DISPOSITION: Choose alternate test article (Sierra Nevada Pale Ale)per Testing requisition. Alternate test article was produce instantly and repeatedly on request. Supplier quality code excellent.

CORRECTIVE ACTION: Better test planning.

TEST ANOMALY #3: Due to interuptions of other test articles (food), and poor attention to the test by the test conductors due to excessive conversation and restrictions in test time, the test results are inconclusive.

DISPOSITION: Repeat test.

CORRECTIVE ACTION: Replan test with the attention to detail required of such a serious matter. Retest to coincide with the completion of STS-122.

An experiment must be repeatable, according to the scientific method. I'll report back when my measurements are completed.

What a thrilling mission, btw! Is this the longest duration?

"Fosters Lager"
Fosters? Crikey, Aussies won't drink the stuff, that's why it's exported. Fosters was not my choice. The alternate was and proved acceptable. I highly reccomend to everyone that given the opportunity to sit down and speak with S_G that you choose wisely. Loremaster of launch operations and astronaut trivia and someone I could question for testing sesions uncounted.

I would love to meet SG and take him out for some local beers. I'm sure that JonClarke would also be in for that too (we're Canberra lads, though we've never meant as yet). I'm not much chop when it comes to space trivia, SG would win hands down!

My offer of beers and a chin wag stands for any member of SDC who ever visits Canberra.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Wanna see this site looking like the old SDC uplink?

Go here to see how: SDC Eye saver

Beer? Bleeh! Never touch the stuff! Fruit juice, rum and coke, or cider for me....

Jon

Whether we become a multi-planet species with unlimited horizons, or are forever confined to Earth will be decided in the twenty-first century amid the vast plains, rugged canyons and lofty mountains of Mars Arthur Clarke

Less than that I think.

Entry Interface is near the date line at 44d N 174d W at 400 kft or about 76 statute miles elevation;
at that point it's 4405 Nautical miles from KSC.
That's at 12:30 EST,11:30 CST, 10:30 MST, 9:30 PST.
At that point it's traveling ~ Mach 25.

So since it gets to 25 miles from KSC in 25 minutes (11:55:16 CST over Daytona Beach at MAch 2.5), you can project your times from there rougnly.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Well, technically, it doesn't drop her out of orbit. It just lowers the perigee enough so that the new orbit decays faster than the older one. Much faster.

Vote Libertarian

There is usually one mounted on the flight deck pointing forward. You can see plasma cloud glow during the descent, as well as the crew conversing and doing what they need to do.

Actually they do, the last few minutes they show the view ahead with the "heads up" cockpit display on the window.
I will post when I discover (hahaha) which channels are covering it live.

Of the commercial stations, Fox News usually has the best coverage, with longer coverage and less yapping.

Sometimes CSPAN or CSPAN 2 covers it.

I can't watch MSNBC, or I'll have to throw something at the TV when Jay Barberee says something stupid.

CNN just talks too much.

Wayne

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Yes NASA TV shows it. Just realize online NASA TV is delayed 45 seconds. If you're watching it via satellite, it should be "live"

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Monsters.
