THE
PRIMARY LOW LEVEL JET HAS SHIFTED NWD INTO THE ERN CAROLINAS IN
ASSOCIATION WITH AN MCV LIFTING NWD THROUGH NC. It looks like the cnances of tornadoes aren't that great, although any chance is too much. What would worry me is the cnance of more hail damage. BTW has anyone heard from ShuttleGuy?

Well this is BPCooper.

The email address login did not work for me and neither did BPCooper.

I was finally able to log in by resetting my password under my email address, and then I logged in using that regular email. And now it says my username is "Betsy" and that this is my first post. This is, well, totally bogus!

I also tried registering again and of course it says BPCooper is taken; apparently, somehow, BCooper is also taken, or so it tells me.

Anyway I figured I would just say something.

My gut feeling is that many members are being rejected by these [insane] bugs in the system. (Has anyone seen old posts by me)?

---

The crew arrival tonight was supposed to be 9pm but postoned until the early morning hours because of the severe weather.

"Is this the closest two missions will have flown to each other. I remember way back they were hoping for 6-8 missions per year."

No not even close. "Way back" the shuttle was being designed for 40 missions a year, and then a hopeful 24 per year as the program got underway.

The shuttle flew 11 times in 13 months in 1985-6; nine times in 1985; and eight and seven times a few times since Challenger. Six and five are common and the average over the prorgram, including the two three-year standdowns, is 4.5 missions per year.

The two closest launches were 61C and 51L, January 12 and 28 1986. And there was 51D and 51B on April 12 and 29, 1985.

Just saw the EVA briefing for this mission. Pretty intense.

I thought the assembly of Dexter was interesting. Too bad they have to assemble it in orbit ratherthan taking up an assembled device.

Besides the major stuff, experiments for Columbus are going to be installed. I wonder, after STS is retired how will an unpressurized cargo craft carrying such experiments will dock and work. I guess such a craft might have exterior doors to access the cargo, but will it actually dock to ISS or just stay attabhed to like the robotic arm?

Hope SG maked it back online! Nice to see familiar faces again.

"SCE to AUX" - John Aaron, curiosity pays off

Just watching a reply of the mission overview. The SPDM looks very cool, and compllicated to control. I understand its designed to replace operations that would normally require an EVA. Is this correct? What type of work can the SPDM carry out?
